Teaching philosophy:
I believe that music is for everyone. I also believe that playing an instrument is a wonderful tool for personal growth.
The study of an instrument might lead to a career as a musician, performer or teacher, or to be able to play along with and entertain friends, but also to be able to enjoy the peacefulness of playing for oneself, and to be able to appreciate music as a listener and concert audience- feeling a belonging that only ones' own studies can bring.
In my studio the program for each student is personalized so that everyone is encouraged to find and develop his/her inner potential.
I believe in helping the student to discover personal rewards in music study, find enjoyment in music making, to feel confident of his/her ability to learn, and to feel that the effort put into music study is a worthwhile endeavor.
My aim is to encourage creativity and independence and to help my students to discover the joy of music and music making.
